The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is out now on Nintendo Switch 2<\/strong>. After we reported Bethesda’s August 11 launch date and full-cartridge confirmation back in July<\/a>, the game landed on schedule this morning \u2014 and day-one performance tests deliver a largely reassuring verdict for Singapore Switch 2 owners who have been wondering whether to pull the trigger.<\/p>\n

Two editions are on sale today:<\/p>\n

  • Standard Edition<\/strong> (digital only) \u2014 US$49.99<\/strong>. Includes the full base game, both major expansions (Shivering Isles<\/em> and Knights of the Nine<\/em>), and all eight legacy DLC packs.<\/li>\n
  • Deluxe Edition<\/strong> (physical and digital) \u2014 US$59.99<\/strong>. Everything in Standard, plus exclusive Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon armour, weapon, and horse armour sets with associated quests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The physical Deluxe Edition ships the full base game on cartridge \u2014 no day-one download needed to play the story. The digital version weighs in at 61.4 GB, so factor in download time if you are going digital.<\/p>\n

    How It Actually Performs<\/h2>\n

    Bethesda targets 30fps in both modes<\/strong> \u2014 900p handheld and 1080p docked, each with DLSS upscaling. Day-one testing from multiple outlets finds the port largely meets that goal where it matters:<\/p>\n

    • Indoor areas, dungeons, and towns<\/strong>: 30fps holds comfortably. Imperial City, Kvatch, and indoor dungeon crawls run consistently and responsively.<\/li>\n
    • Open-world traversal<\/strong>: the same traversal hitches and brief frame dips that have been present on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X\/S since the April 2025 launch carry over to Switch 2. They are most noticeable when running across Cyrodiil’s fields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The overall early verdict is better than feared<\/em>. Pre-release leaked footage had sparked concern that the port would be unplayable, but the shipped version is meaningfully more stable. If you have already lived with the stutters on PS5 or PC, you will know what to expect here.<\/p>\n
