And yes, something is on the way.<\/p>\n<h2>The \u221e Day Message From Director Utsumi<\/h2>\n<p>On August 8, 2026 \u2014 the franchise&#8217;s annual \u221e Day celebration, chosen for the infinite-loop shape of the show&#8217;s SK\u221e logo \u2014 the official SK8 the Infinity X account posted a new illustration alongside a message from Hiroko Utsumi. The accompanying Instagram Live broadcast also featured voice actors Tasuku Hatanaka (Reki) and Chiaki Kobayashi (Langa).<\/p>\n<p>Utsumi&#8217;s update confirmed the one detail the fanbase had been hoping for: production is moving. &#8220;Season 2 takes place in winter!&#8221; she wrote, while noting that work is not yet at a stage where footage or any full material can be shared. The new illustration \u2014 a pencil sketch of the main characters in winter attire, stamped with the official SK\u221e logo and the kanji for &#8220;Season 2&#8221; (\u7b2c\u4e8c\u671f) \u2014 is the first season-specific visual since the second season was announced back in August 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Her note, translated from Japanese, reads: <em>&#8220;We&#8217;re not at a stage where we can show you material yet, but to share at least a little about Season 2: the season is winter! Winter SK\u221e &#8230; which means &#8230; This is what SK\u221e might become! &#8230;maybe. The possibilities are endless. That lineup hasn&#8217;t changed. This \u221e Day message is the first concrete word on Season 2 proper since that 2022 announcement \u2014 and the first hint at what the new season will actually look like.<\/p>\n<p>No premiere window has been given.
