The development team made on-site visits to four locations \u2014 Kiyomizu-dera, Rokudo Chinno-ji, Yasui Konpira-gu, and Kennin-ji \u2014 and the attention to detail borders on obsessive.<\/p>\n<p>The Kiyomizu-dera stage, for instance, was built to match the <strong>exact number of floor boards<\/strong> of the real structure. One deliberate departure: the actual stage has a slight incline, which the team flattened slightly for smoother combat. More strikingly, because the stage involves violent fight sequences, Capcom coordinated with the temple authorities to have the sacred main statue&#8217;s doors closed in-game \u2014 the statue, visible to real-life visitors, does not appear during the battle.
