After months of build-up<\/a>, Beast of Reincarnation is finally here \u2014 Game Freak\u2019s action RPG launches on 4 August 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and the first official review from Famitsu hands it a strong 35\/40.<\/p>\n

Game Freak Steps Outside Pok\u00e9mon<\/h2>\n

Beast of Reincarnation is Game Freak\u2019s boldest non-Pok\u00e9mon project in years, developed with publisher Fictions. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic Japan where nature and rusted machine-bone creatures have overtaken the ruins of civilisation. You play as Emma, an outcast swordswoman who channels a power called Bloom Arts, and Koo, a blighted white wolf whose spirit skills you command in a hybrid real-time and turn-based combat loop.
