Blue Lock’s third season now has an official title \u2014 and it’s the one manga readers have been waiting for. On 9 June 2026 (Japan’s self-declared “Blue Lock Day”), production studio Eight Bit and the BLUE LOCK<\/em> Production Committee confirmed the new series title as BLUE LOCK: NEO EGOIST LEAGUE<\/strong>. A super teaser visual featuring Yoichi Isagi and Michael Kaiser dropped alongside the announcement, with the show targeting an October 2026<\/strong> premiere on Crunchyroll.<\/p>\n

What Is the Neo Egoist League Arc?<\/h2>\n

The Neo Egoist League \u2014 known in Japanese as \u65b0\u82f1\u96c4\u5927\u6226 (Shin Eiy\u016b Taisen<\/em>, roughly “New Hero Wars”) \u2014 is the longest arc the Blue Lock<\/em> manga has run, spanning over 150 chapters. After Japan’s U-20 squad is dismantled in the previous arc, the surviving Blue Lock strikers don’t go home \u2014 they’re scattered across Europe’s top five football leagues instead.<\/p>\n

The setup is ruthless: 35 Japanese strikers, each embedded in a European club, compete in a round-robin tournament against each other and the world’s elite. Only the top 23 scorers earn a spot on Japan’s U-20 World Cup squad. It’s Blue Lock logic pushed to a global scale, with an entirely new roster of overseas rivals \u2014 many of them, according to illustrator Yusuke Nomura, “even more eccentric than the Blue Lock members themselves.”<\/p>\n

Mangaka Muneyuki Kaneshiro put it plainly on Blue Lock Day: “Both Isagi and we are starting fresh from here. We’ll be going all out with ego.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The teaser visual released on Blue Lock Day frames Season 3 as Isagi’s story versus one man: Michael Kaiser<\/strong>, ace forward of Bastard M\u00fcnchen and the dominant presence throughout this arc. Yoichi Isagi returns voiced by Kazuki Ura<\/strong>, while Kaiser is played by Mamoru Miyano<\/strong> \u2014 familiar to Singapore anime fans as Light Yagami in Death Note<\/em> and Ling Yao in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood<\/em>. Miyano brings exactly the kind of operatic ego the role demands.<\/p>\n

The Live-Action Film Is Also Coming<\/h2>\n

Announced alongside Season 3: a Blue Lock<\/em> live-action film, produced by CREDEUS (the studio behind the Kingdom<\/em> and Golden Kamuy<\/em> films) and targeting Summer 2026 in Japan, timed to coincide with the FIFA World Cup. Crunchyroll has confirmed it as the international streaming home for BLUE LOCK: NEO EGOIST LEAGUE<\/em>, consistent with Seasons 1 and 2. Blue Lock has streamed in Singapore on Crunchyroll for both prior seasons, and Season 3 is expected to continue that pattern.<\/p>\n

The premiere window is October 2026<\/strong>. A specific date of October 9 has circulated widely in fan media, but as of the Blue Lock Day announcement, no official date has been confirmed \u2014 treat that figure as a placeholder until Eight Bit or Crunchyroll publish an official air date.<\/p>\n
